Look Now I invested over 15K into this car. I have about 270hp to flywheel and 280ft-lb torque at 7psi boost set from the wastegate. The car weights 2800 pounds which makes the GC8 model over 500 pounds lighter then the new style GDB Imprezas (better handling, higher power to weight ratio = faster acceleration). I have a 1988 Jeep Cherokee that has been my project car for the last 10 years. I have had almost every part replaced and upgraded to enhance in performance and esthetics. I put a 3.5” lift and enlarged the tire size to 31x10.5 R15 for added lift and bought new chromed steel rims for a better look. I have had the engine rebuilt, bought a new transmission, new transfer case, new exhaust (Flow Master), new front and back axle, brand new All Terrain – BF Goodrich tires bought this summer, and a host of other parts valued at over 10k. All of which I have kept the receipts for and you are more than welcome to view and have upon purchase. I had a custom paint job done and kept most of the interior the same. I upgraded the sound deck, bought a new mahogany steering wheel, and have done many other features. This is a factory 2dr HT. But, no, it’s not an Impala. It’s a Canadian GM Bel Air 2dr HT (with Canandian GM VIN). They only made 1031 of these and they were not offered in the USA. Check out the Belair-2dr HT-only paint dividers. Much cooler than those stubby little ones on the Impala. This car has undergone a full, top-to-bottom frame on restoration. The paint is less than six months old and it’s gorgeous. The original color was copper and white, but I wanted something a little brighter so I went with two-stage Corvette Atomic Orange and three-stage Cadillac Diamond White Pearl. In order to paint the dash, the windshield had to come out so I replaced the windshield seal. Then I had the rear window removed and replaced that seal as well. The bumpers were sent out to be triple-plated. Some (but not all) of the stainless trim was replaced. Lenses, mirrors and antenna are new. All the weather stripping, fuzzies and sill plates are new.
